About 10 years ago, while Kiewit was building the H3 through the Halawa Valley, my dad took me to the jobsite. I took a photo from underneath the amazing elevated freeway that I like quite a bit. Now, I live in Hawaii and I was impressed by this view from the Aiea Loop trail. An amazing feat of engineering and determination. It certainly is a convenience, but I see why people had a hard time with it being built.
(EDIT: I thought about this a bit...it was over 10 years ago....more like 13 years ago, ouch.)
